Steve is a passionate and energetic person who loves to help others. He joined APC in February 2015 as a Client Service Administrator and joined the APC Investment Committee soon thereafter. Steve’s background in investments comes from three years as portfolio administrator in Boston, Massachusetts and 11 years as a financial advisor in the Detroit, Michigan area. He is excited to use his skills from years of experience in financial services and education to serve APC’s clients.
Steve is a graduate of Central Michigan University in 1988 with a BS in Business Administration. His major and minor were finance and economics, respectively.
Steve relocated to Knoxville with his wife Jo and their son Kevin in 2007 to teach mathematics to middle school students at a local Montessori school. He also has two older daughters, Katie and Kristy, who have graduated from college and are now successfully employed in their fields of study (education and business). Steve enjoys playing competitive volleyball, swimming with his family, reading, collecting coins and watching good movies.
In 2014, Steve and his wife, Jo, started their own charity. Their charity, Klothes4Kidz, is designed to help elementary-age children in need. They host various fundraisers throughout the year. Klothes4Kidz has 14 Knoxville area elementary school partners and donates roughly 1,000 items per year.
