Ijams Nature Center is the region’s leading wildlife sanctuary and environmental learning center. It relies on member and donor support to maintain the more than 318 acres of protected land managed by the nature center as well as allows Ijams to offer low-cost education programs so that more people can take part in them.
The 20 acres HP and Alice Ijams purchased in 1910 to raise their family grew to into a showplace for cultivated gardens in the middle of a natural area and bird sanctuary.
The top item on their wish list for wildlife and animal care is bird seed. So through the month of July, we are holding a Birdseed Drive!
Please bring in any size package of birdseed (black oil sunflower seed is preferred) and we will deliver to Ijams at the end of the month!
